About the Author

Catherine Cory is professor emerita of theology at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her master of arts degree in theology from Saint John’s University School of Theology and her PhD in Christianity and Judaism in antiquity from the University of Notre Dame. Her area of specialization is the New Testament, in particular the Gospel of John and the book of Revelation. She especially enjoys teaching adult faith formation classes and writing for those who want to know more about the New Testament and what it means for us today.

There were many rich insights throughout, though given the lack of historical records and that women were not a primary focus in the Scriptures, I found that there was not much new that was offered to those who are immersed in Scripture. If you are looking for an introduction, this will be perfect for you.
