Martin is the author that penned the Hyperion Cantos. He’s a charismatic individual from an amazing science fiction series by Dan Simmons. I love Martin for his foul-mouth, his wit, intelligence, insight, his enthusiasm for libation and women, and because he speaks his mind in no uncertain terms. The persona of Martin E. Silenus writes in three venues, Action, Life’s like That, and Sci-Fi. Martin has been fortunate enough to have enjoyed success in the corporate business world with his writings and to have attended the teachings of award winning novelist Guy Vanderhaeghe, OC, SOM.

Sanctuary is a great book, a study of the Fault lines, a review of earthquake phenomena, with immense details about tidal waves, Huge tidal wave. A story to study and remember, keeping much of it in mind as we may face people caused disaster in our future.

Lots of collapses, all detailed along with the story of a sanctuary. Very good, but short book.

Unlike many dystopian novels, this book demonstrated human ingenuity. Too often we concentrate on what is termed, “ our inevitable demise.” We never consider the possibility of invention. This book strikes that chord.

Your words conveyed excellent imagery and a fast pace. It was easy to keep on reading to the last page. (I went to bed in the early morning hours.). Keep up the excellent efforts in writing. Maybe there's a movie here?

A solid story or rather the Cliff Notes of a novel but missing all character development and the meat that makes a story worth reading. The missed opportunities are too many to mention.

The author did a good job except he lumped Spokane,WA in with Seattle, Tacoma and Portland as cities destroyed by the cascadia fault collapse. Spokane is almost 300 miles east and would not be destroyed. It is also 300(?) miles NW of Yellowstone.

No plot. No character development. Just an endless “diary”. How did this book get published? Mind numbingly “meh”. Please tell me there isn’t a sequel.

The author writes a book about earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. Thye story centers around different characters who experience different calamities of nature. There is not much of a plot and the book jumps from place to place. I was hoping for a sequel but did not find one.
