I haven't finished reading this yet so I won't speak on the contents, but the weird 3-d esque blur on almost all of the pages isn't really helping. Not enough to make it unreadable though its still distracting.

The best introduction to the history of astronomy and astronomical methods I have seen anywhere. My copy does not have any 'blur' as described by previous poster. Crystal clear!

I purchased this book and am thrilled with it! I love the author's teaching style just as much as the material that he covers. If your intention is to own a functional, accurate Astrolabe, this is the only book that covers the nuts and bolts of actually building it.
