Jim Barrow, the author of the “Easy History” series, provides a modern, innovative, and captivating approach to studying history. His unique methodology allows readers to explore his research through a variety of formats, making learning an exciting and accessible experience for everyone.

Bookshops and libraries are full of books on history and mythology, but very often they are long and complicated texts that rarely reach out to a global market, which means that it is difficult to discover those cultures and peoples we do not read about at school, yet who play an equally important role in helping us to understand who we are today.

Jim Barrow's mission is to stimulate curiosity through the simplicity of his content, which is suitable for everyone but at the same time can delve into all aspects of history and mythology.

Talking about "who we are today", that's what the author gives a lot of importance to. He continuously reminds us that today's world is nothing but the sum of the events of the past and the choices made by our ancestors. Understanding history and knowing at least the main facts helps the community not to fall back into making the same mistakes that have hurt humanity in the past, which unfortunately is not always the case today.

This reads like a poor high-school report; I could not finish it. The author has gathered many titles of kingdoms, but the descriptions are jumbled and often irrelevant. Some entries didn't even make sense. "Antediluvian" is not a date. There is no map to help make sense of the rambling geography. This may have value as an overview, but this is not a book for the serious reader.

Do not throw your money away on this book. The depth of information contained in each kingdoms write-up would not make a good middle-school book report. There are no citations and no bibliography in the book.

No sources, no citations, no nothing. The whole book seems like a child wrote it

The writing is so poor, and some of the terms so obviously inaccurate, that I can't even trust the minor details we receive about various African Kingdoms. Not even useful as a survey of ancient African history.

This is a great book to help you learn about some ancient history of African kingdoms. It was interesting to learn that mathematics, language and agriculture originated in these lands. The different kingdoms had established religions, economics, culture, administration, agriculture, foreign relations and military. Go on the journey and learn much about the risr and fall of these nations.

Very badly written - mostly seems to be a collation of bits from different sources, with lots of repetition and very poor grammar.
