Marble bust of the Roman Emperor Lucius Verus. This portrait appears to have marked the joint rule of Lucius Verus with Marcus Aurelius. Versions are known from many parts of the Empire. Roman, circa 161 to 170 CE. From Rome, Italy. From the Townley Collection; formerly in the Palazzo Mattei and Papal Collections. (The British Museum, London).
