Biography

James Lloyd James has been involved with AHE since 2012 and he hopes that in his role as Video Editor he will help to make the ancient world accessible through the use of, you guessed it, videos, both by hunting down some of the best on the web and by creating his own. James' main area of interest is ancient Greek music, but he has general interests in Sparta, and ancient art and archaeology. He is currently undertaking his Phd in Classics, funded by the SWW-DTP, at the University of Reading, with the working title: 'Music and Ritual in Ancient Sparta: the lead votive figurines of the Sanctuary of Artemis Orthia.' He acted as Archaeological Assistant at the Romano-British site of Ipplepen in 2014, where he was involved with social media and community outreach.
